"A copywriter should have an understanding of people, an insight into them, a sympathy toward them." -George Gribbin

I'm a lifelong writer with 8 years' experience slinging words that grow businesses and bring people together via all manner of critical communication channels: UX optimization, business and sales communications, email marketing, editorial, creative branding, ad copy, content marketing, training, and more. I approach my work as a daily practice and as an art, balancing more structured, data-centric teams with intuition, analysis (psychological, rhetorical, creative), and positivity.

In addition to writing and editing, I've used a number of content and project management platforms and tools (including UpWork, Wordpress, Zapier, Asana, AirTable, Intercom, Edgar, and more) to build content marketing frameworks, and to manage both in-house and remote teams. I've also crafted marketing personas using high-level data and research, lead and supported branding initiatives, and worked closely with growth, product, and marketing professionals in the heart of San Francisco's Techopolis, all the way to the great Midwest.

But wait—there's more! I'm a passionate, experienced, professionally-trained educator who loves creating presentations and training materials, and who rarely turns down a chance to stand up and teach. I've written and created explainer videos and presentation decks for clients, as well as my own teams, and even developed research-backed group activities designed to make learning memorable, active, and meaningful.

A champion for mental health awareness, I earned several credits towards a graduate degree in counseling before opting instead to use my education to contribute to my teams' efforts to influence users and audiences, as well as to simply have a more supportive, positive impact on everyone I meet and work with.

I'm a textbook INFP: quiet in meetings, egalitarian, perceptive, introspective—the type of person author Susan Cain says the business world needs more of. I write long texts, emails, and Slack messages, and I say "hi" to kids and dogs first. (Whoops.) I thrive when given the option to work remotely, but I also love spending time in the office with my team.

I'm a lot funnier in real life. My motto: Take your work more seriously than you take yourself.
